Trained as an anthropologist, and an art historian respectively, artists Jeff Charbonneau & Eliza French collaborate to conjure up scenes of a present, born from a fantasized past and the tremblings of an uncertain future.  Against a backdrop of modern-world sufferings, the artists live in the traveling theater of the photograph, weaving tales of personal heroics and reflection.  Theirs is a cautionary tale, of dark shadows and nefarious forces, filled with the encroaching stench of new victorianism that threatens the heart of innovation.

Charbonneau/French met in the spring of 2003, and made a pact to conceive and execute images derived from their most succulent dreams.  They both live and work in Los Angeles.
