Margarita Nieto:
The Lewin Collection and Why it is Important

Rufino Tamayo, "Messenger in the Wind"

Margarita Nieto was engaged by Getty Conservation Institute head Miguel Angel Corzo to evaluate the Bernard and Edith Lewin collection, which ultimate found its way to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Now, Dr. Nieto offers her perspective on why the acquisition of the Lewin Collection is such a positive step for LACMA and the Southern California art community.
