Political themes are the constant in this year's 65th Scripps Ceramic Annual, the longest-running contemporary ceramics exhibition in the U.S. Artists include Tori Arpad-Cotta, Christy Gast, Jeff Irwin, Charles Krafft, Io Palmer, Katherine Ross, Anders Ruhwald, and Reinaldo Sanguinoall of whom primarily use clay to provoke and challenge viewers to engage with marginalities and marginalized conditions, broadly defined.
