Once a year the Artists of the Santa Fe Art Colony open their private studios to the public in a FREE EVENT! There are over 50 artists participating. Art is available for purchase and food is for sale in the Courtyard.
The Painting, Sculpture, Photography and other Media presented are as varied as the Art World at large. Many residents have been featured in the local, national and worldwide scene, in both small and major galleries and museums, as well as in News and Fine Art Publications.
The Santa Fe Art Colony has a compact layout and is the easiest of all the art walks to tour. 1,000 to 2,000 visitors attend over the weekend. Hang out with artists, pet their cats, eat a hotdog in the garden and enjoy a kaleidoscopic spectrum of literally hundreds of works of art.
Experiencing Art in the Studio is Unique. It’s a fascinating design tour as well. The aesthetic of an artist’s teacups and rugs often match their work! There’s a wealth of idiosyncratic information about the artists and their art that only seeing it in its studio setting can provide. You’ll find something that’s just your cup of tea and also get to see the cupboard it came from.
