From the littered streets of Hollywood, New York, Tokyo and D.C., to the whitewashed walls of hotspot galleries and cultural institutions, the reclusive artist known to a nation of enchanted spectators simply as Becca has brought her tale of urban alienation and sly humor to life in the form of skinned kneed girls, ladies who lunch, and common household objects.  Of her work Becca says, “I feel like a mix of magician and choreographer,” using meditative gestures of stroke and color to create child-like images which exist in an imagination and world of their own.

Becca received her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and has exhibited at The Merry Karnowsky Gallery, Los Angeles, 111 Minna Street San Francisco, and  Kim Foster Gallery New York. Her work has been featured in publications such as The Face, Nylon, Super X Media, Juxtapoz, The Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly and The LA Weekly.
