Edward Cella Art + Architecture (ECAA) is proud to present an ensemble exhibition entitled, Explorations. Explorations features works by emerging and mid-career artists in a found, temporary location in downtown Santa Barbara. Explorations seeks to suggest a broader context for select group of artists residing in the Santa Barbara region though juxtapositions of artists working in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico,
Capitalizing on the guerrilla location's transitory nature, the exhibition takes risk to provoke new insights and connections between artists and aesthetic dialogues within a range of mediums including painting, drawing and sculpture. Explorations featuring new works by Davis Birks, Margarita Cabrera, Peter Cole, Ann Diener, David Florimbi, Penelope Gottlieb, Robert Heckes, Gerald Incandela, Gregory Kondos, Gary Lang, Lead Pencil Studios, Barrie Mottishaw, R. Nelson Parrish, Lucas Reiner, Victor Pimstein and others.
Explorations is first in a series of public exhibitions installed in temporary locations across Southern California by ECAA. Explorations highlights dynamic new projects and provides an introduction for experienced collectors and novices alike to the work of a range of emerging and established artists and architects. With the premise that art is a vital counterpoint to world around us, through Explorations, ECAA seeks to transforms the traditional nature of art presentation and gallerist practices.
