L2kontemporary kicks off the art season on September 9th with an exciting double exhibition featuring new work from Dennis O. Callwood and Keiko Fukazawa.  The artist couple, working and exhibiting together since 1998, are represented in museums, university galleries and private collections.
Dennis O. Callwood, whose photographs tackle contemporary social issues, is presenting a new body of work, “Erotica: Wheel of Fortune,” that looks at the erotic side of life. The revealing black and white images are simultaneously erotic and disturbing.
Keiko Fukazawa, also well known for addressing social issues by incorporating graffiti into her ceramic creations, is presenting two large-scale installations from her “China Project.” Fukazawa explores China’s rapid economic development contrasted against human rights abuses, global consumption and environmental degradation.
