Taft Green - Sculpture
Through September 22, 2005
Opening Reception:  Tuesday, August 23, 6-8pm

Taft Green, “LAG”, (detail), 2001.

Taft Green’s sculpture could be said to be much more about the process of formation than about the form itself. Formation of concepts, time and space among other elements help to form the “thingness” of the thing.  On view at Cerritos College Art Gallery are two of the artist’s large-scale sculpture from 2001, as well as a series of working drawings and sketches.

Recently included in The Hammer Museum’s “Thing” exhibition, Taft Green lives and works in Los Angeles.  Since receiving his MFA from Art Center in 2001, the artist has been included in a number of exhibitions internationally.  Taft Green is represented by Richard Telles Gallery.

Taft Green - Sculpture will be on view at the Cerritos College Art Gallery through September 22, 2005.  An opening reception for the artist will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, August 23.
