For the last decade, husband & wife team Davis & Davis have been gently skewering the presumptions & preoccupations of American society with their mixed-media installations and, especially, their set-up photographs. In their exhibition and book, Childish Things, they collect their photos of dolls and figurines into a humorous but telling survey of social roles, rules, and repartees.

Tom and Christie Accatino, based in Riverside and Palm Springs, have been collecting landscape paintings of California for over thirty years.  On view are selections from their collection, including plein-air works from the late 19th and early and mid 20th century by such masters as William Keith, Fritz Kocher, Claude Buck, Myrta Herbert, Conrad Buff, Agnes Pelton, Orrin White and Milford Zornes.

Monothon 11 is the culmination of a three day printmaking workshop with master Printer Ron Pokrasso. The museum's curatorial staff has selected one print by each participant for a fund raising auction & exhibition. Participating artists include Ed Beckett, Michael Bernbaum, Alex Couwenberg, Leah Heimeach, Barbara Kerwin, Robert Kingston, Teresa Munoz, Michael Napper, Roland Reiss, Michael Salerno, Consuelo Wild and more.

Painting's Edge 2005 is a selection of work by the participating artists of this summer's Painting's Edge workshop. Held annually at Idyllwild Arts, this innovative and highly acclaimed program is directed by internationally renowned artist and educator Roland Reiss.

The Riverside Art Museum, located in historic downtown Riverside, occupies a beautiful historic building designed and built by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan.  The Mission of the Riverside Art Museum is to serve the various communities and diverse populations of the Inland Empire by providing visual art of the finest quality.
