“Decade”: Merry Karnowsky Gallery’s 10th Anniversary Exhibition

The Merry Karnowsky Gallery is proud to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a special exhibition, entitled, Decade. Decade will feature many of MKG's top artists which have exhibited extensively at the gallery, as well as artists who have pioneered the ‘pop surreal’ or ‘lowbrow’ movement since its inception. Artists included in the exhibition are: Richard Colman, Dalek, Shepard Fairey, FriendsWithYou, Camille Rose Garcia, Steven R.  Gilmore, Jim Houser, Dean Karr, Junko Mizuno, Aiko Nakagawa, Mark Ryden, Kathy Staico Schorr, Todd Schorr, Miss Van, Eric White, Kent Williams, Robert Williams, Suzanne Williams, and others.

The Merry Karnowsky Gallery is home to several of the most significant artists working today. Founded in 1997 by Merry Karnowsky, the gallery has had a central focus for nearly 10 years: championing emerging and mid-career artists who push beyond the boundaries of their medium.
 
The Gallery is devoted to exhibiting contemporary works of art that are challenging, innovative and committed to fostering new directions in American art. With a creative stable of artists who are sought  after both nationally and internationally, the gallery has become one of Los  Angeles’ premier maverick art venues.

Merry Karnowsky Gallery artists have been included in group and solo Museum exhibitions at The Grand Central Art Center, The Baltic Center for Contemporary Art, The Cincinnati Art Center, The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, MOCA Miami, The San Jose Museum of Art, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
