Thomas Trivitt, (detail), enamel on canvas.

L2kontemporary Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of new paintings by Thomas Trivitt. An opening reception will be held February 11, 2006 from 6 - 9 PM, and the show will remain on view through March 11, 2006. The show features work completed within the last several months. Using pin striping techniques and high gloss enamels on canvas, Trivitt’s work is both meditative and explosive, capturing in a multitude of colors the movement of a perfect line.

Following the theme of the exhibition, “Big and Small,” Trivitt has mixed large and small scale works, exploring the differences and similarities that come about when the same artistic technique is used on very dissimilar sizes.

The artist lives in Huntington Beach, CA and has shown his work in both solo and group shows throughout California. His work is also currently being shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art – Art Rental Gallery. This is Trivitt’s second solo show at L2kontemporary.
