Patrizia DiDiomete, “The Dance”, 2004, acrylic on canvas, 72" x 84”.

The contemporary and timeless art of Canadian Artist Patrizia DiDiomete, whose work has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, and Canada, will be the featured exhibit at Space on Spurgeon in March and April, 2005. Opening artist reception on Saturday, March 5, 2005 from 7-9pm. Public invited. DiDiomete's acrylic figure canvases move from exuberant whimsy to figures steeped in emotional repose. Her landscapes or "dreamscapes" exude lush memories from a timeless past. DiDiomete's dynamic sculptured iron figures form a contemporary vision of modern-day complexities; stone sculptures evoke a more classic touch.

Born in Italy, DiDiomete lives and works in Canada, her multi-cultural background resonates in the various materials she uses from clay and stone to an exciting palate of color in her canvases, revealing dynamic images and forms.

Continuing exhibits:
Surface Juxtaposition: the fun and provocative art of San Clemente artist Steve Hopper; jewelry designs by Cheryl Douglass Hopper; and the "street-life" photography of JoAnne Artman.
